Make Time Tracking Stick for Everyone

Not every team member remembers to log their time — and that’s okay. Leadtime’s time tracker adapts to different working styles, allowing users to track retroactively or in real time. You can configure personal reminder settings to nudge users at the right moments, ensuring consistent time logging without disrupting their flow.

For those who need extra accountability, you can assign observers to monitor time entries and step in when things slip. The result: accurate, real-time time tracking across your entire team, without turning it into a chore.

The Time Tracker captures your work time in real-time as you're actually working, delivering far more accurate data than retrospective estimates. You see the running clock in your header and can pause or add details anytime – giving you a realistic foundation for project planning and performance reviews.

Yes, Leadtime supports parallel trackers for different tasks. If you're interrupted while working on something, just start a second tracker for the interruption – the first one automatically gets parked and resumes later, keeping your time entries cleanly separated without any overlap.

Annoying Mode automatically reminds you to start time tracking if you've forgotten. After a customizable interval (like 5 minutes), you'll get a nudge – helping you build the habit and keeping your data complete and meaningful.

Attendance time (magenta) is your total time between clocking in and out. Booked time (yellow) covers all activities logged to tasks or projects. Billable time (green) is time directly assigned to client projects that can be invoiced – you see all three values in your daily time statistics.

You can either quickly clock in via the profile menu with preset times, or use the full dialog to capture date, start/end time, mood, and comments. Alternatively, Leadtime can calculate attendance automatically based on contractual working hours – depending on your workspace settings.

In the team calendar, you see all tracked attendance times and absences in a weekly view. Color coding shows you at a glance who's hitting their targets (green), who has minor deviations (yellow), or where time tracking is missing (red) – so you immediately spot where action is needed.

The time rings visualize three layers of your workday: The outer ring (magenta) shows your attendance time between clocking in and out. The middle ring (yellow) shows how much of that time you actually booked to tasks. The inner ring (green) shows your billable time on client projects. When a ring closes, you've hit your daily goal – a visual feedback system for conscious time use.
